About the Artist
Donn Angel Perez, born in the culturally rich city of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, discovered his passion for art at a young age, diving into drawing and painting by eight and expanding into architectural drawing and calligraphy by twelve. His creative journey took a turn at seventeen when he joined a renowned music group as a drummer, all while pursuing architectural studies.
In 1984, seeking growth, Perez moved to the United States, where he has since continued to evolve as an architectural designer, abstract painter, and creativity educator. His art, a blend of natural landscapes, architectural forms, and spiritual energy, reflects resilience and vitality, embodying a dialogue between structure and emotion. Despite facing life’s challenges, including a battle with brain cancer, Perez has used art as a refuge and language, with each piece serving as a testament to endurance, memory, and the belief in art's capacity to encapsulate both pain and hope.
