Meet the Masters Series

Frida Kahlo is an artist from Mexico that loved to paint colorful self-portraits. Alma Thomas created bright abstract paintings that looked like mosaics. Pablo Picasso was a founder of Cubism and liked to explore new ways to represent the world.  

Join experienced teacher Val Whaley as she helps each of these artists come to life for the students.  They will explore each artist's techniques and life, and then using a variety of materials, create personal art based on each of these artists' works.

Fun with the Master's Series: Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Romeo Britto

This is a style of art that uses everyday objects and images from popular culture.  Some examples are advertisements, comic books and consumer products (like soup cans).  

Join experienced teacher, Val Whaley, as she helps the students explore the style and life of each artist.  Then, using a variety of materials each student will create personal art based on each of these artist's works.

Decorative Easter Eggs in Polymer Clay - Friends & Family Class

Ages: Ages 7+ years (Children 5-6 years old are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent to assist them with their creation, parent does not need to pay if assisting only)

Come create a trio of colorful long lasting polymer clay Easter eggs.

Join instructor Susan Thiel and learn how to create the egg and decorate it using mini cutters to create geometric patterns, animals, a spring flower garden, a cute monster, or a character of your choice. This is a great opportunity to create something together with friends and family!

Thirty minutes are needed at the end of class to bake your creation so they may not be ready to be picked up until 1 pm. All materials are provided.

Ages 7+ years (Children 5-6 years old are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent to assist them with their creation, parent does not need to pay if assisting)

Decorative Mosaic Crosses Made from Polymer Clay - Friends & Family Class

Come create a personalized cross using polymer clay.

Join instructor Susan Thiel to learn how to work with polymer clay to create a mosaic piece that will be glued onto a wooden base.

This is a great opportunity to create something together with friends and family! These make great gifts for confirmation, weddings, and more.
