Acrylic Pour Pumpkins - Age 6-13
with Valerie Whaley

Ages: 6 - 13
August 27 10am-12:00pm
Ages 6-13
Class max: 8
You start with a pumpkin. Select and gather your favorite paint colors. Then Ms Val will show you how to make magic happen!!
Register the child. (Each registration includes one pumpkin and includes one adult to come along for free as an assistant to make one pumpkin. No need to have the adult's name.)
However, if the adult wants to make a pumpkin, too, please register and pay for another registration so Ms. Val knows how many pumpkins to bring along.
You'll create an adorable, unique Fall decoration! And, don't worry - because the pumpkins aren't "real" pumpkins, your lovely work will last a long time!
Snack and juice will be provided as well as all the supplies for the class.
Be sure to wear painting clothes, it could get messy!

Fun with Broom Making
Dive into broom making by building several types of handmade brooms. Watch your skills and broom collection grow with each project. Use the lovely brooms you make as decorations, gifts, cleaning tools, or just as a beautiful display!
You will be making:
- a 10”-12” whisk broom ( pictured at right ) will teach you the fundamentals of broom making.
- a hearth broom which teaches you how to build a broom on a handle. A hearth broom is built on a short handle with 18” broom corn.
- a turkey wing broom that uses an amazing way to show off your new skills. They are about 16” finished size.
Experienced folk teacher Nancy Binkowski will be conducting this introductory broom making workshop. What fun we will have!
