Please bring your own apron and your own tools (if you have some). A bag of clay is included in your registration fee, as well as tools to use in the class if you need them.
Message from Jan: "I have been throwing pottery for most of my life. I began my ceramic studies at CMU and continued at the Flint Institute of Arts. I now have a home studio and I work with a variety of clay bodies and mix my own glazes. I do both pottery wheel and hand building projects, sometimes combining both methods. I love to carve and add surface decoration. Some of my work is on display at the Main Branch Gallery in Grayling.
I’m looking forward to teaching at AuSable Artisan Village and guiding others as they discover the unlimited possibilities when working with clay."
