Class Description:

Learn sculpting techniques in clay to make your very own garden friends! Jenny will be teaching ways to form, attach, and add texture to clay to create an animal of your choosing. Bring a picture of the kind of animal you want to sculpt, showing its whole body. We will create our sculptures and then return a few days later to add some color and life to them!

Class Description:

Calling all outdoor loving artists! Nature art is such a fun way to engage with the environment and get creative.

Join teacher, Val Whaley, to discover ways to create artwork out of leaves, rocks, sticks, and other natural materials.

Students will paint rocks, create a mobile as well as a mandala using flowers, leaves and other items found on the beach or in the forest.    

All supplies and materials will be provided for this 8 hour class.

Class Description:

There’s something magical about creating art with natural materials found on the beach or in the forest. Kids will be amazed by the beauty of what they can create with just a little bit of imagination!

Join teacher, Val Whaley, to make luminaries and sun catchers out of flowers and leaves. Each child will paint on rocks as well as pine cones. Natural items will be used to create a mobile. Flowers will get “pounded” onto paper to create a natural collage.

Class Description:

During the Monday through Thursday class time the students will develop a performance.  Then they will have the opportunity to perform their creation after the class on last day of class.  

Students will participate in a hands-on, interactive theater experience that will deal with writing, improv, acting and creating scenery.  The instructor, Chad Patterson, will take his 20 years experience in working with elementary, middle and high school kids and apply it to giving students a wonderful introduction to the stage that will hopefully spark a lifelong love with theater. We will teach character, voice, movement, improvisation and some backstage responsibilities as well.
