Summer is here! Val Whaley will guide  3-5 year olds to create themed summer art projects using different techniques. Like painting with bubbles as shown in our picture or using flowers as a pint brush.  Students will also create a collage from nature and learn to "marble" using colored shaving cream.

So much fun to fill a Saturday morning. Parents are welcome to stay and join the fun.

Four Day Summer Camp (6 hours)

Rainbows are beautiful!  This class is all about color - recognizing colors and mixing colors to get NEW COLORS!  

Retired teacher Val Whaley will introduce the color wheel and then use a variety of media and techniques to find colors and mix colors.  Students will do fingerpainting, "smash" painting, and even see how wet tissue paper reacts when wet and overlaid.  

The final project will be making a collage color wheel like the one pictured, but uniquely individual.

Four Day Summer Camp (6 hours)

Learning shapes through art is so much fun! Retired teacher Val Whaley will help students experience shape by using the art of Wassily Kandisky who created art by using only circles, squares and color and the work of  Henri Matisse who used a variety of shapes.

Students will paint, stamp and cut and use a wide selection of materials to learn basic, and not so basic shapes!
