Live music, movement and mindfulness for ages 3-11 will be provided by Michelle and Barak Fite. The movement activities will be followed by deep relaxation which will include a gift of the "sweetness of life!" (An organic lollipop that is vegan and in the low glycemic range.)

Leading children in activities for over 20 years, Michelle's singing and her husband's acoustic guitar have provided music, movement and mindfulness that fosters focus, builds memory skills, helps process emotions, releases endorphins and generally, helps get the "wiggles" out  with fun and meaningful exercise.  Their activities provide an inspirational background that inspires children to engage, relax and and see themselves in a positive light.

The Fites have conducted activites in the Grayling Deveraux Library (and other local libraries), Gahaghan Nature Preserve and South State Higgins Lake Beach.

So much fun! No mat required.

Those age 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Three Day SummerCamp (6 hours)

Paper Mache can be messy - BUT, oh, so fun!

Retired teacher Val Whaley will guide students through the process of beginning paper mache. Not only will they create an ice cream sundae, but also a delicious donut!  Then, on to animals!

Please wear old clothes and be prepared to get your hands "goopy!"

Three Day Summer Camp, July 1-3 (8 hours)

If you have worked with paper mache before, then this class is for YOU!  Join retired teacher Val Whaley to move from basic paper mache shaping to using wire to support your creatures. 

Creatures created will include a snake, a cat and a dog.  (Other creatures and shapes may be included as time permits.)  Painting is essential to finish your unique piece!

Please wear play clothes and be prepared to get messy!

Painting rocks is all the rage!  Frog rocks, Birds, Dog and Cat rocks!

Come and enjoy some time painting rocks on a Friday morning.  Registrants can make rocks into sparkling mermaids, animals of all kinds, or even food items, emojis, or MONSTERS!

Make decorative clay tiles and become more comfortable working with clay; no prior experience needed! Even though you may not see yourself as being "an artistic person" you can make these lovely pieces that can be used as coasters, magnets, or wall decoration. 

Emily Millard, who is experienced working in air-dried clay, will demonstrate several hand-building techniques, as well as how to use a variety of stamps and molds.  She will also guide registrants to shape morels!

All materials will be provided including a wide variety mostly nature themed) stamps. 

Tile dimensions can vary from 2" to 8".  Students will complete one or multiple tiles depending on desired sizes and number.  And up to 6 morels.

Four Day Summer Camp 

How fun to dance for an hour with M&M Cloggers, Melissa and Michael Roebuck! No experience needed! For four days!!

Join the dancers to learn the basics and dance away the afternoon. You'll learn rhythm, finding and counting the beat, basic traditional steps, and learn a simple routine.  We'll learn and practice Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. On Thursday, at the end of the session, family is invited to celebrate and see what we have learned!  

Please plan on coming at 2:15 on Thursday to enjoy a short presentaiton by the dancers!

NOTE  Clogging shoes will not be needed.  If you have tap shoes you can bring them if you like, but they are NOT required.

Four Day Summer Camp (6 hours)

Rainbows are beautiful!  This class is all about color - recognizing colors and mixing colors to get NEW COLORS!  

Retired teacher Val Whaley will introduce the color wheel and then use a variety of media and techniques to find colors and mix colors.  Students will do fingerpainting, "smash" painting, and even see how wet tissue paper reacts when wet and overlaid.  

The final project will be making a collage color wheel like the one pictured, but uniquely individual.

POP ART uses objects that are commonly known like road signs, soup cans, or pictures of celebrities. By applying bright colors like red, yellow and blue and changing them in size or shape, they use the shapes and colors in uniques ways to make ordinary objects works of art!

Join retired teacher Val Whaley to create pop art projects by studying Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring and Romero Britto.
