Supplies:  Instructor will demonstrate with all equipment and materials. Registrants may bring their own laptops (MAC, Linex, or Window) No Androids, No Chome as the software will not download onto those.

Class Notes:   After a basic presentatin showing how a 3-D printer is set up and works, the software (AKA slicer) will be set up and registrants will be able to download  software for a 3-D printer.

Class Description:  A 3-D printer is capable of creating objects using plastic material (filament). Now widely popular in industry  as well as STEM in schools,  this presentation will show what 3-D printing is capable of creating, how to set up and use a 3-D printer, and how to create a wide range of three dimensional objects. As heard in this popular phrase, 'The world is your oyster" once you see the endless creative opportulnities available to you with a 3-D printer.  

The instructor has taught a multitude of groups how to set up 3-D printers and has assisted a wide variety of groups in creating products that that the group needs.  He has a large number of 3-D printers that he uses to produce objects and will be discussing various models for purchase and the variety of plastic filaments available for use. He will assist all registrants with setting up the appropriate software onto their own laptop so that each registrant  will be able to purchase the 3-D printer and filament and start to use it in the comfort of one's own home.   You will be given suggestions as to where one can find better prices online and types of 3-D printers that are available in the marketplace.

Class will meet downstairs in the original gallery building; the AAV Creativity Center.
