AuSable Artisan Village

Valentine's Day is a terrific opportunity to do fun art! Join teacher, Val Whaley to experience art materials and techniques to create art works to enjoy and take home. 

First the children will learn about the heart art of Romero Britto.  He is a well-known pop artist and has many ways to "play" with hearts.  Romero Britto loves bright colors in his art and has even created sculptures, including Disney characters.

After that, students can choose to make a thumbprint heart magnet, paint with Q-Tips to decorate hearts, paint hearts in Andy Worhol's style, or make a simple heart using nails and string.

Snack and juice will be provided as well as all the supplies for the class.

Be sure to wear play clothing, it could get really messy!
