Tweens and Teens Become an Artist/Illustrator
with Lori Taylor
$85
Tweens and teens will learn to make a string art sketchbook from a shipping box, a kid’s old board game, or hardcover picture book or cereal box! Cut, glue and collage up-cycled and repurposed substrate boards to make a string-bound art book.
Guided by author/illustrator Lori Taylor, learn drawing basics and create characters for book illustration. Then dive into cover design, style, and layout of a “dummy.” Take a short field trip outside to look for materials to make a wild brush and find inspiration, setting, and story that uses a popular fairy tale to retell a fractured tale in art and word.
See some of Lori's books at the Ausable Artisan Village to get an idea of what is possible!
