Four Day SummerCamp - Join retired teacher Val Whaley for a fun four days learning beginning Paper Mache. 

Start with an ice cream sundae, including sprinkles and then create a cute dog or cat to learn the basics.

Beware-it gets messy!  But don't worry, aprons will be available for all!

Here’s your chance to make a piñata! Using balloons and paper mache pinatas are easy - once you know how! Paint and tissue paper can be used to add your personal decoratations.

If time permits, more piñatas may be created using other shapes. A triangular shape could be made into a slice of watermelon or candy corn!

Four day Summer Camp: In this Monday - Thursday class experienced teacher Heather Keir will guide students 2nd grade through 8th grade through the basics and beyond of learning to draw.

Learning about drawing, the color wheel, and the basics of art, beginners will start out on the right foot, while those experienced with art will have their skills extended through guided practice. They will practice how to draw landscapes to be better and more realistic during this four-day workshop.

Students will create one piece each day, including a desert, a tundra, a forest and a beach.  On the final day, they will select one piece  prepare for framing.

In this Wednesday - Saturday class experienced teacher Heather Keir will guide students 2nd grade through 8th grade through the basics and beyond of acrylic paint.

Learning about acrylic paints, the color wheel, and the basics of art, beginners will start out on the right foot, while those experienced with art will have their skills extended through guided practice. They will practice how to have their art to be better and more realistic during this four-day workshop.

Students will create one piece each day-perhaps a fish, a flower, a bird or something they choose. On the final day, one piece will be prepared for framing.

In this Wednesday - Saturday class experienced teacher Heather Keir will guide students 3rd grade through 8th grade through the basics and beyond of acrylic paint.

Learning about acrylic paints, the color wheel, and the basics of art, beginners will start out on the right foot, while those experienced with art will have their skills extended through guided practice. They will practice making art more alive and realistic during this four-day workshop.

Students will create one piece each day, focusing on painting animals including a bear, a deer, a racoon and something they choose!  On the final day, they will prepare one piece for framing.

Learning about the basics of still life, beginners will start out on the right foot, while those experienced with still life will have their skills extended through guided practice. Through this instruction and practice student's art will improve and be more more alive and realistic.

Students will create one composition and will refine the piece daily as they learn more about shading, texture and perspective.  On the final day, they will prepare their composition for framing.

Saturday Exploration - Join retired teacher Val Whaley for a creative sculpture experience!

Need something individually created by YOU to brighten your room or give for a gift? Using painted noodles and pipe cleaners learn to create a sculpture that is colorful and a little crazy. This sculpture can be changed again and again. Oh, what fun!
