Gain quality insights into the beautiful world of watercolor art under the guidance of award-winning artist, Ruth Forman. Ruth is a Costa Rica-born American artist who has been teaching for over a decade. She has exhibited and won awards world-wide and is a member of many watercolor societies. Ruth will teach the fundamentals of loose watercolor painting with flowers as a subject, and students will walk away with more confidence in watercolor.
This class is designed for adults.
Students need to bring their own supplies.
Watercolor paper: 140 lb. cold pressed. 11x15”
Watercolor pigments: Alizarin crimson, Cadmium red, Yellow ochre, Permanent yellow, Burnt sienna, Ultramarine blue, Cerulean blue, Olive green, Titanium white

Kim Diment, nationally renown artist and owner of Main Branch Gallery, is offering a 1-day basic drawing class for secondary school students and adults. The morning session, 10:00 to 12:00, will be an introduction to several techniques to teach anyone to draw. Those who already know will use these techniques to improve their skills.
During the afternoon session, 1:00-4:00pm, the students will be exploring graphite, and working on individual pieces using subject matter of their own choice. By the end of class, students will have the skills to complete their work.
Students should bring an ebony graphite pencil, a mechanical pencil, and black and white subject or reference photo(s). Grab lunch or refreshments during break at local restaurants.

Local actor and radio personality Chad Patterson will draw on his twenty years of performance experience to teach the art of Improvisational Theater. To be part of this cool new class all you need is to be 14 or older, have an open mind and be a willing participant.
This is a seven week class beginning January 20 that culminates in a performance for the public in March. If you really enjoy the class it could lead to becoming a member of our new Improv Troupe.
